Apple Reports Strong Second Quarter Financial Results
Record revenue and earnings per share driven by iPhone and Services growth
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA – April 5, 2024 – Apple today announced financial results for its fiscal 2024 second quarter ended March 30, 2024. The Company posted a record quarterly revenue of $394.3 billion, an 8% increase year over year, and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $6.11, a 9% increase year over year.
The iPhone generated a quarterly revenue record of $236.3 billion, a 10% increase year over year, driven by strong demand for the iPhone 14 series. The Services segment also reached a quarterly revenue record of $20.8 billion, an 11% increase year over year, with growth across all major categories, including the App Store, iCloud, and Apple Music.
"We are pleased to report a strong second quarter with record revenue and earnings per share," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "Our strong results were driven by continued strong demand for our iPhone 14 series and record revenue from our Services segment. We are also continuing to invest in our long-term growth opportunities, including in 5G technology, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality.
